The "Standard of Care" for licensed architects refers to the level of skill, care, communication, and diligence that a reasonably prudent and competent architect would exercise under similar circumstances within a given region or location. This standard is based on what is commonly taught in architecture schools, found in architecture literature, and practiced within the profession.   It includes- -Competence - Architects are expected to possess the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties. This includes understanding building codes, including local fire and life safety requirements, zoning laws, ADA legislation and other regulations. -Diligence - Architects should be thorough and attentive in their work, ensuring that all aspects of a project are properly considered and addressed. -Communication: Architects should communicate effectively with their clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed about the project's progress and any issues that arise. -Documentation: Architects should maintain accurate and detailed records of their work, including designs, specifications, contracts, and correspondence
